FractaVisual transformed everyday waterfalls, rockscapes, and streams at Gaylord Rockies into vibrant visual experiences. Through creative lighting and animated projection, we brought color and movement to the resort’s existing scenery while complementing its mountain inspired setting.

THE CONSTRAINT

The Challenge

The challenge was to make familiar landscape features feel extraordinary. Waterfalls needed greater visual impact, stationary rock formations needed a sense of motion, and streams offered an opportunity to introduce a playful element of discovery. These enhancements needed to feel connected to the environment, with light and animation working naturally across irregular stone surfaces and moving water.

Waterfalls filled with color

Waterfalls

We illuminated falling water with vibrant hues, turning each cascade into a curtain of light. Reflections carried those colors across the pools below, extending the effect throughout the surrounding scene.

Rockscapes

Projected moving water imagery brought solid rock formations to life. Following the contours of the stone, the animation created the illusion of water flowing over ledges and cascading down the rock face.
